What Is a Conflict of Interest in a Review?
A conflict of interest includes reviews from current or former employees, family members, or reviewers with a financial stake in the service provider’s company and falsified reviews.
Clutch works to verify that all reviews are submitted by an authentic client of a service provider and is absent of any potential conflict of interest.
Learn more about our review verification process here.
If a review is identified as a conflict of interest, Clutch will not publish the review to any provider’s profile.
Clutch defines a conflict of interest as:
- The reviewer currently works for or has worked for the service provider
- The reviewer has a familial tie to the service provider
- The reviewer has a financial stake in the service provider’s company
- The review is falsified
