[Pricing Estimates](https://help.clutch.co/en/knowledge/for-service-providers?hsLang=en#pricing-estimates) # What Are Pricing Estimates? ## Pricing Estimates show buyers who complete a Project Brief an indicative price range on your recommendation card, generated from templates you set up once. ### How Do Pricing Estimates Work on Clutch? When a buyer finishes a Project Brief on Clutch, we show them a set of recommended service providers. If you have published a pricing template that matches the work the buyer described, your recommendation card carries an indicative price range for that project — along with the assumptions, deliverables and approach behind it. Pricing Estimates show a buyer an indicative price range for their specific project on your recommendation card, generated from pricing templates you set up once. The range comes from you. You build pricing templates in your Vendor Dashboard, you set the numbers, and you write the assumptions that define what each range covers. It does not appear on your Clutch profile or your directory page, and buyers browsing Clutch do not see it. It surfaces only to buyers who reach the end of a Project Brief through Pay Per Lead, and only for the project they described. The buyer cannot transact on the range. The only action available to them from your card is booking a call with you (if you’ve inputted your scheduling link into your Clutch profile). ### Where does the estimate appear? At the moment, the estimate only appears at the end of the Project Brief flow, on your recommendation card, alongside your reviews and portfolio. No, you only have to build a template once. Estimates are generated from them automatically when a buyer submits a brief that matches one of your templates. ### What does the buyer see with the range? The buyer sees the context required to support the generated estimates, such as your assumptions, deliverables, and specific approach.
