What Is a Conflict of Interest in a Review?

A conflict of interest includes reviews from current or former employees, family members, or reviewers with a financial stake in the service provider’s company, as well as falsified reviews.

Clutch works to verify that all reviews are submitted by authentic clients of service providers and are free from any potential conflict of interest.

Learn more about our review verification process here

If a review is identified as a conflict of interest, Clutch will not publish the review to any provider’s profile.

Clutch defines a conflict of interest as:

  • The reviewer currently works for or has worked for the service provider
  • The reviewer has a familial tie to the service provider
  • The reviewer has a financial stake in the service provider’s company
  • The review is fake or fabricated

If you believe a published review on Clutch to be a falsified review,        please submit a report. Our Content Operations team investigates all reports of falsified content.
