How Is My Instant Quote Calculated?

Each instant quote comes from price ranges the service provider set in advance, matched automatically to the details you shared in your Project Brief.

Where does the price in an instant quote come from?

Your instant quote comes from the service provider’s own pricing. Service providers set price ranges in advance for the types of projects they take on, along with the assumptions and deliverables that define what each range covers.

When you submit a Project Brief, we match the details you shared, such as the services you need and the scope of your project, against those ranges. The range that best fits your project appears as that service provider’s quote.

Clutch does not set these prices, and quotes are not based on market averages.

Did the service provider review my project to create the quote?

No. The quote is generated automatically the moment you submit your Project Brief, from pricing the service provider set up beforehand. Final pricing comes later, in the proposal the service provider prepares after discussing your project in detail with you.
